GIFT Team

At St Patrick's, our pupils are encouraged to take an active role in living out our mission of Love, Faith and Service. Through our GIFT Team and Religion Prefects, children have the opportunity to become leaders of faith, prayer and service within our school community.

GIFT Team

The GIFT Team is made up of pupils from upper Key Stage Two who act as young chaplains within our school. They help to strengthen the Catholic Life and Mission of St Patrick's by supporting prayer, worship and charitable action. Members of the GIFT Team lead prayer walks, help to plan and support Celebrations of the Word, and work alongside staff to promote faith throughout school life.

The team works closely with GIFT Teams from St Edmund's and other local Catholic schools, sharing ideas and learning from one another to develop chaplaincy across our communities. They also play an important role in promoting Catholic Social Teaching, encouraging pupils to care for others, serve their community and look after God's creation. Through projects such as local community walks and environmental initiatives, they help children understand how they can make a positive difference in the world.

RE Prefects

All Year 6 pupils take on leadership responsibilities as prefects, helping to make a positive contribution to school life. Our RE Prefects have a particular responsibility for supporting the spiritual life of the school. They help prepare prayer spaces, support liturgies and Celebrations of the Word, welcome visitors to worship events and encourage younger pupils to participate confidently in prayer and reflection.

Working alongside the GIFT Team, RE Prefects help to ensure that faith remains at the heart of everything we do. They act as role models for younger pupils, demonstrating our Gospel values through their actions and helping to create a school community where everyone feels valued, respected and loved.

Together, our GIFT Team and RE Prefects help to lead the faith life of St Patrick's, inspiring others to grow in their relationship with God and encouraging everyone to put their faith into action through service, prayer and care for others.
