School Houses

House points form a whole school reward here at St Patrick’s.  It encourages a team ethos across the school and allows children of all ages to have a common goal.

Every child from Nursery to Year 6 is placed into one of the four houses when they start school and siblings are placed in the same house team when they join. House points are awarded for following our Gospel Values therefore the four houses represent one of the four Gospel Writers – Matthew (green), Mark (yellow), Luke (red) and John (blue).  You can find out more about these Saints by following the links the bottom of this page.

Every week in our Friday assembly the house with the most house points is announced and each half term the winning house enjoys a Wonderful Wednesday treat afternoon on the last Wednesday.  At the end of the year there is a trophy and a special prize for the winning house.

Children can earn house points for their house by following our Gospel Values.  This can be done in a number of ways - by working hard in class, producing good quality work, being polite and courteous, helping each other and by setting a good example.

Our Gospel Values are - honesty, respect, kindness, perseverance, responsibility, tolerance, sharing, perseverance and forgiveness.
